FINANCING

Dental Insurance

Applewood Family Dentistry works closely with all major insurance companies to maximize your annual benefit to the best of our ability.  We have highly trained staff that do the filing for you so you don't have to deal with the difficulties in communication with insurance companies, claim filing and long wait times for reimbursements.  While this is a major benefit we happily do for patients, dental insurance doesn't always cover every needed or desired service.  Many dental insurance companies only cover a portion of the services being provided, while other services may not be covered at all.  Considering this, we work very hard to make our care affordable and available to all who seek our services.

Dental insurance is not like medical insurance where a deductible is reached and "out-of-pocket" expenses go away.  After reaching your annual maximum, your dental insurance benefit goes away.  For this reason, it's better to think of it as a coupon with annual benefits and fine print limits and exclusions.  We work strategically to maximize this benefit for you while also considering that there are some situations where your dental insurance may not cover the services that are needed to properly care for your oral and overall health.  We are committed to serving our patients regardless of what insurance companies you are partnered with.  We focus on high quality, patient centered care to best benefit those we serve.

Did you know...

That you can use your dental insurance at almost any dental office, regardless whether that office has an "in-network" or "out-of-network" status.  The difference in benefit is usually minimal.

You can use your HSA (Health Savings Account) for dental work in addition to dental products such as tooth brushes, prescription toothpastes, etc.  Ask our staff about products that may qualify.

You can use your FSA (Flex Spending Account) for dental work and other dental products to benefit your dental care such as electric tooth brushes, special tooth pastes, etc.  Ask the receptionist about possible products to purchase so you don't lose any of your hard earned money that's left over in your FSA.
